What do we learn?

Puppy Life Skills

Puppies don't come with the skills needed to thrive in our human homes, just like children they need someone to guide and teach them.

We start to teach your pup to be the best family member that they can with treats and games including

  • Responding to their name
  • Watching you for cues
  • Learning what is socialisation and habituation
  • Settling on a mat
  • Wearing their harness and lead to go for walks
  • Coming back to you
  • Playing nicely, with no nipping or getting over excited
  • Waiting in place while you answer the door
  • Touching a target
  • Giving back that stolen item
  • and a few simple tricks to show off their skills

This course is best for puppies under 20 weeks old at the start of the course.

Companion dog life skills

Even though dogs have been bred to live alongside people for thousands of years they still like to do dog things like people drag racing, running off in the park and raiding the bin.

In Companion dog Life Skills we start to teach your dog to be the best family member that they can and build on those puppy Life Skills,  with treats and games including

  • Responding to their name
  • Watching you for cues
  • Settling on a mat
  • Walking nicely on their lead
  • Coming back to you
  • Playing nicely, with no nipping or getting over excited
  • Not barging out of the door
  • Not eating stuff they shouldn't
  • Having a little bit of self control
  • and making good choices

This course is best for older dogs and puppies over 20 weeks old.

Each 6 week course costs just £75
